Hello, everybody!
I am pleased to announce that there is now a new process through which all applicants will pass before becoming members of the Order of Sanctus Irae.
Please read through the entire process prior to applying, as follows. This will make it easier for both yourself and the WoI team members who you will be working with.
Thank you very much.

The New WoI Process for First-Time Applicants
You are considered a first-time applicant to the Order of Sanctus Irae if you have not belonged to the order at any time prior to this application.
First-time applicants are handled in a different manner than returning applicants. Here are the steps of the WoI process as they apply to you:
1) Contact a WoI Team Member or Order Leader (Recommended)
This will be your first chance at making an impression with a person who will be incredibly important to the rest of your process. It is strongly recommended that you be polite and courteous with this person for obvious reasons.
Establish contact, through tells, with a member of the WoI team or SI leadership (Members of the WoI team will have a WoI flag somewhere in their title. Please do not contact somebody with a WoI-T flag, they are in training). Explain to them that you would like to join the order, what times you are generally online, and the like.
If you need help with coming up with an idea for your character, the person you are talking with should be able to help you, or will direct you towards somebody who can.
2)Submit your character description and history to the Order.
Once you've made contact with a WoI member and have an idea of what you would like to do in the city, compose on notes a description and history of your character. The history should be a minimum length of one note and a maximum length of five, while the description can be any length.
Once you've finished writing these notes, please MUDmail them to the WoI you contacted (if you spoke with a WoI team member) and the entire SI leadership.
Your information will be reviewed and shared with the entire WoI team so that the team can serve you.
3) Your OOC interview
Once all of your information has been reviewed by the SI Leadership, the leader (and possibly other members of leadership) will conduct an OOC interview with you. This interview will be full of general questions relating to what you aim to do in the order, your RoD experience thus far, and etcetera. Upon successful completion of the interview, you will proceed with step four.
4) Your first WoI scene
When you have completed your interview, you will be assigned a WoI with whom you are required to complete a roleplay scene. The WoI will likely be the team member who you initially contacted, back in step one of the process.
Prior to the beginning of the scene, the WoI member will again ask you what you intend to do ICly in the city, among other general questions. These will help guide the WoI during your scene.
The scene will be a general roleplay scene, designed to test your ability thus far, help you develop your roleplay technique, and establish a challenge, as well as a niche, for your character as it comes into the city.
5) Induction and the probation period
Shortly after the completion of your first WoI scene, you will be inducted into the Order of Sanctus Irae.
You will be on probation for a period of one month, and you will be required to complete two more scenes during this period. It is recommended that you organize and complete these scenes with WoI team members. Failure to complete these scenes by the end of your probation period will result in an outcast.
6) Full membership or failure
If you meet the conditions of your probation, you will become a full member of the Order of Sanctus Irae.
Failure to meet the conditions will result in an outcast, unless a reasonable explanation for the failure is given (in the event that a reasonable explanation is given, your probation period will be extended by two weeks). You will not be allowed to re-apply to the order for a period of three months if you have been outcasted in this manner.

The WoI Process for Returning/Friendly Faces
You are considered a returning or friendly face if you have been a full member of the Order of Sanctus Irae prior to application.
The following is the process which you will need to complete to become a full member of the order:
1) Contact an order leader
You must contact a leader of the Order of Sanctus Irae, or our deity, Romani, and announce your interest in re-joining the order.
2) The OOC interview
An OOC interview will be conducted by the leader of Sanctus Irae (and possibly with other leaders/Romani present). It will consist of general questions (why did you leave the order originally? What do you plan on doing ICly in the city?).
3) Induction and the probation period
If you pass the OOC interview, you will be inducted and put on probation for one month. You will be required to complete three RP scenes, preferably with WoI team members or SI leadership. Should you fail to complete these scenes, your probation terms will not be met.
4) Full membership or failure
If you have met the terms of your probation successfully, you will become a full member of OSI.
If you fail to meet the three scene requirement, and have no reasonable explanation, you will be outcasted immediately and barred from re-applying for three months.
If your explanation is accepted, your probation period will be extended by two weeks.
